I'm slowly but surely improving. What inspires you to compete?I just love getting out on my bike, riding it, and pushing my personal limits. Im not the best out there, so its not all about being the best. Its about getting out there, having a go, meeting new people and some lifelong friends, and most importantly having fun. Its good to get out there and just ride for the weekend with a bunch of like minded people. Viewing the sights, and taking in the opportunities riding gives you is just brilliant and I wouldnt swap it for anything else. What do you want to be when you grow up?A pro bike mechanic for a pro team, a pro mountain biker, or a 'freelance' MTB movie maker like Clay Porter. Do you train? I'll be racing in the states for 99% of the 2008 season. I would like to hit the UK for at least one national race.
I'm moving back to the states. I've been stationed in the UK with the US Air Force since 2004 and now they're moving me back to Las Vegas, Nevada! Can't complain too much about that!
The Gravedigger has to get back on the ball for this last UCI round!
No, I wasn't at the worlds, but it wasn't for lack of trying! I had to work this week and weekend because we were really short manned. Sucks. I missed a great week of racing! |

thanks mate yer im gettin right into the racing scene now. as for my hook ups, i havnt applied for any sponsors yet. i'll apply for some soon though.
dude the XT shadow is the shiz. since ive had it i havent had a single problem with it. never have to think about it. even on the rockiest track of the state series it was fine. im stoked coz the deore LX used to play up so much. anyway my last race put a massive flat spot in my rear orange s-type rim (did my race run missing a spoke and with a big flat spot hahaha) so im getting one of those cammo MTX rims put on it. should get it back today and i'll put up pics.

Yep, I was there! What happened to Graves in the DH and 4X???? That was crazy! I think he really stood a chance, but Lopes was more than on his game this year. He looked unstoppable!
I leave for the US in less than 18 days! I'm pretty excited and I can't wait to sport the Royal everywhere!
How's everything going for you? How's the off-season?

Yeah My ride is a Gary Fisher Mullet. Tricked out with a Manitou Gold Label Jump Series fork. I broke the other one. The coil shot out and hit me in the neck!!! Pain! |

yer there was only like 10 of us but i got it by about half a second. the xt shadow is the shiz. the old lx kept shifting up gears if i tried to back-pedal but the xt just holds in gear shifts really quick and smooth. whats that about the 2008 world cup though? is there a round happening in Aus?? deffinately bring on 2009 at stromlo though. |

yo lewis, looks like i got rid of my crappy deore lx derailer sooner than expected. i wrecked it racing on the weekend and the guys from the bike shed mortdale hooked me up with a new shimano xt shadow for $110. it works so smooth now. I also won some new sunline pedals worth $160 so looks like it might be a bit longer before i can get myself some 5050s. oh well im not complaining :-) |

I'd heard that rumor too, but I had a feeling it was nothing but smoke in the wind, bro. Something for Utopia optics going out of business-smoke in the wind.
I'll be at the champs this year myself. Can't wait to see Jared rippin' it up down the same track I raced on just a couple of months ago!

I've never seen the movie you're talking about-in fact, I've only seen one mtb movie. That's all changed now that I've seen Earthed 4. I love that movie. I can't stop watching it, then going out to trying to copy something I've seen!

my aim is to race the whole state series next season and then race the whole national series after that. i really want to get to the national round at thredbo this year though. it would be insane. i can tell you why you wouldnt have been a fan of the goose pedals. its coz they grip like a slippery wet shit. seriously :-P yer my mate recommended the long pin set aswell. gotta save some money though coz i just spent $150 on new fox shorts and $100 on new 661 pads. expensives. |
