About me!

How did you get started?

I got started racing in 2003 when my brother in law got a dirtbike also and we rode alittle and then he invited me to go to a race with him. I recently began the sport of triathlons in mid 2007 and have done three so far and have been doing very well in them. I am hooked on triathlons now and train very hard every day!!! I plan to do them for a long time to come.

List your competitive highlights:

I just completed my first half Ironman at Buffalo Springs and it was an awesome experience!! I got 10th in my age group & 115th out of 935 finishers and I completed it in 4:56:22!!! 1st in the Lake Tanglewood "Tri to Make a Difference" sprint triathlon, 1st in the Race for the Cure 5K. 16th overall at the PlayTri Festival in Irving, TX. Won my age group and got 16th out of 245!!

What are you planning for next season?

I plan to do a half-iron man in June of 2008 and then plan to compete in an Iron-man in 2009!! I also got accepted onto a triathlon team for 2009. It is Team Ireland 2009 and my website for that is http://blog.ironshad.com/category/mark-hillers/ EVERYONE SHOULD CHECK IT OUT!!!

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Completing my first Half Ironman at BSLT 70.3!!! 4 housrs and 56 minutes!!! My 16th overall at the PlayTri festival, it was my first international distance tri!!
