Saturday August 16, 2008 (Pro Stick Class- info. go to www.prostickracing.com)
One word sums up this event, WOW! I had more fun at this event then I have had in a long time! This was our first time racing with the ProStick racers and it was quite enjoyable. We made the field with a 10.61ET @ 128mph. We went from 46 racers down to 20 and lost in the second round of eliminations with a -069 red light. We purposely dialed back the boost for this event given it was brackets and were suprised at how consistent the car was. We will definately run this venue again! Enjoy a few pics of the car and crew below!
We here at JLR Racing would like to wish my Brother-N-Law Seargent Dan O'Day a quick and safe tour in Iraq. You will be with us in spirit and prayers! Love Ya 'Bro! Come back safe!

The Crew Just hanging out and waiting!

BugOut 64
August 31, 2008 / Old Dominion Speedway (http://www.olddominionspeedway.com/OD_Dragstrip_Main.html)
We fought traction issues all day at BugOut 64. The car would not go straight at all. We lost first round of eliminations and ended up with a best ET of 6.59 @ 106mph.

Sunday Septmber 7, 2008 (For Rules and Details go to www.mirdrag.com/imstar)
First of all, thanks to MIR for putting on another great event. You guys know how to put on a race!
This was our first race with new slicks. We were allowed to have an exhibition run on the first pass. The car hooked hard and stood straight up in the air. We ended up with a 10.90 @ 128mph.
Compensated too much on air pressure on second pass (first qualifying pass) and blew the tires off out of the hole. Ended with an 11.67 @ 124mph.
(Second Qualifying pass) Hooked alot better but still spun a little more than we wanted out of the hole and ended up running a 10.20 @ 141mph. Good enough for #6 qualifier!
First elimination round - Staged the car, Launched then broke the cam, again.
Thanks to all my sponsors for hanging with us. This has been a tough season but we'll get it right!

September 14th, 2008 at Rockingham Dragway, in Marston North Carolina
* The Unlimited Street East Race has been ReScheduled to October 19, 2008 to be run in conjunction with the SEVWA's "Fast Times at Farmington" race * From what we are being told this is only because of low car count and does not reflect on the Rockingham Race. The Rockingham race will still go on, so please support that race if you can. It is ALOT of fun!

Oct 19.........Fast Times at Farmington #10 / Farmington Dragway
This was another great event put on by SEVWA! As far as ourselves, we met Saturday night with all the Unlimited Street East racer and performed our cruise to the track. The Bug ran excellent and had no issues.
The day of the race we lined our car up on the BurnOut box and attempted our first BurnOut on the first pass and broke the drivers side axle. We attempted to repair it but could not find the right axle.
I want to personally thank my sponsors who have hung in there with us the entire season even through all of our problems. This year has truly been trying, we have fought many issues. A BIG THANKS to Jason Lauffer of VW Paradise and Sean Dowdle of Dowco Enterprises! I'd never be running this fast without you guys.

Nov 9, Sun, World Cup Finals (Import vs. Domestic)
This was THE LARGEST event I have ever raced at! Big Hat's Off to Jason Miller of Maryland Internationl Raceway! Over 1200 Racers and 10,000 Spectators! How's that for an "off the chain" event!
First of all, I am thankful for the opportunity to race with such good people. The people in the Wild Street class are class act people.
We did'nt really know what to expect with this new engine combo. We had our old turbo on the car, a new cam in the engine and also made some carb and timing changes. We were truly suprised.
On our first pass we chose to be conservative and only ran a mild boost. Ended the pass with a 10.32ET! At that point we were very excited!
Second pass - Increased the boost and made a few tuning changes. Ran a 9.97ET! Hell yeah!

First Round of Elims. - While staging the car, I felt something strange in the clutch pedal. I let off the Rev limiter and pulled out on the clutch. The car then drifted into the beams and lights came down. I launched .300 of a second behind the Mustang. To my disbelief, at the 60'(because when I launched the car pulled left towards the wall and I had to let out of it and then get back in the throttle), at the 330' and at the 1/8th mile I was right beside the Mustang. When I hit 4th gear the car pulled toward the wall again and I heard something in the drivetrain so I let out of the throttle. The car still drifted a 10.33 ET! I was not disappointed because I know the car still has much more in it!
AWESOME TIME!!
That's it Folks. The end of another season. Thanks to my sponsors who hung in there with us. We're not gonna make any major changes this off-season but we WILL get weight out the car! Looking for 9.50's or better next season! Very Acheivable!
