I competed in 30 tournaments last season (2007-08). I finished the tournament season finishing second in forms, weapons and third in sparring in the State of California. I had more tournament points but I lost the championship by one point due to in-house tournament points. Without going into it too much the kid that won was able to add 6 points to his total points and then he won.

During last tournament year which started June 23, 2007 and ended on April 30, 2008. I have competed in approximately 30 tournaments all over the country; Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Utah, Oregon, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas, Arizona, Nevada and California. This tournament year I have even more states to compete in. Unfortunately this puts a big demand on not only myself but my family as well.

This years tournament season started on June 27^th in Little Rock Arkansas. I competed in Extreme Martial Arts (XMA) Weapons, Traditional Forms, Traditional Weapons and Sparring. I got First place in XMA Weapons, First place in Traditional Weapons and tied for first in Traditional Forms. I finished fourth in Sparring. I had a full ring of 16 kids including myself.

I wondered if your company would be interested in financially helping me compete and achieving my goal on becoming a State Champion. As you might know traveling across the country can become very expensive. Just the tournament entry fees can be in excess of 100.00 dollars. Add in gas, food, lodging and airfare one tournament can cost 500.00 dollars or more just for me not to mention my parents.
