Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

Watching Sara Reinersten in her first attempt at Kona...I was really moved by her story and I thought, "if she can do this, so can I"....I didnt own a bike or had even swum a lap in a pool at the time, but I went ahead and entered IM Wisconsin...and here I am today I was able to meet her at the Nike Women's Marathon this year. She is a really cool (not to mention damn cute) and is an inspiration to a lot of people.

List your competitive highlights

2x IM Finisher - just finishing the first one and droping 2hrs 13 minuets off my time on my second one. Running in the Endurance 50 w/ Dean Karnazes in Wichita, KS just 11 days after IM Wisc 06 was pretty cool as well.

What are you planning for next season?

1 Marathon (Goal = 3:30) 1 Half Marathon 1 Ironman (Goal = sub 11hrs) 1 Half Ironman 3 Local Olympic Distance Races

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Just sticking with the training programs...not getting distracted by friends who dont understand what I am doing and / or why...raising almost $28,000 over the last 2 years for charities in my hometown of Wichita, KS
