INTRO OF AVENT CYCLES “NEO” BMX RACE FRAME
Dateline September 14th 2007
Avent Cycles introduces its newest USA BUILT BMX RACE frame called the Avent NEO. The NEO features a traditional round tube design. Exclusive to the NEO are the top tube intersecting seat stays with a super trick CNC MACHINED seat stay bridge. Chain stays are made from round butted tubing which is then crimped and formed “IN HOUSE” on our custom forming machine. Chain stay strength is further enhanced by transverse bracing just ahead of the tire and CNC 3 AXIS MACHINED dropouts. The head tube is CNC MACHINED and features INTERNAL / EXTERNAL butting. The head tube and downtube are strengthened by an external gusset for even more added strength. All Avent frames come with the head tube faced and the bottom bracket chased which makes for a fast trouble free assemble.

Avent Cycles parent company Bombshell Inc. has tooled up to construct frames “IN HOUSE”. While most companies are running to China for frame sourcing, Avent has brought all frame building back to the USA. Company President Gary Hickman is no stranger to taking on difficult jobs such as frame building. “We see this as a natural progression in our business plan. We’ve gone the Asia route in the past but we feel strongly that we can build frames better, faster, and at or near the same cost. Bombshell Inc. has a full CNC machine shop, frame fixturing, welding, and assembly line all under one roof. I don’t think there’s anyone else in the BMX industry that can make this claim”.
